Chanel and Dior Nail Varnish iPhone cases. Yes, really

There are many weird and wonderful iPhone cases out there.Glitters, diamonds, snakeskin, Chanel nail varnish clones… Erm, what? I just stumbled across a range of Chinese imported iPhone cases designed to look like supersize versions of Dior and Chanel nail varnishes. Yes, nail lacquers. I don’t really know what to make of it, I get the whole lets stay on brand and support what we love thing but these are so insane an ridiculous that I don’t really have any other response than incredulous laughter and to snort up my cola.

I guess it’s good that you can have a giant nail varnish phone that replicates your face nail color, especially if it’s one of the ultra desirable sold out shades that  Dior and Chanel are so fond of doing every year but.. really? Meh.

Novel written as Nail Art

This is pretty surreal to watch. So far, I’ve viewed it twice and I’m still confused. Is the writer insane? A strange artist? Just deluded? Who knows. I think this is comedy.. but I’ not laughing.

And where is the fricking nail art? C’mon!

SmellBent Classic Perfume Characters are oh so cute

I’ve talked before about how exciting the SmellBent perfume studios are. Think their Walk of Shame scent.  They company has a real sense of flair and have a very unusual take on everyday perfume scents, rejecting tropes of vanilla and “girly” for something that’s far more striking and surprising.

I’m talking scents that represent the smell of “aging paperbacks” and the entertaining “Hungry Hungry Hippies” which smells like “pot brownies.” Yes, really. Or not. I haven’t tried that one yet. But I do like that they are playing with different notes and aren’t concerned with being mainstream. Theer’s nothing like a perfume company that can make you laugh AND make you smell god, and for those basic reasons they have a lifelong fan.

Walk of Shame: The Scent

There are scents for every occasion. For joy, for birth, for memory. Fresh baked bread for home, tulips punctuating a trip to Amsterdam and wild daisies fliruishong in fields where the sky is unbroken for miles. Now we have a scent for that not so fortunate moment, the 7.a.m. sidewalk crawl, that comes complete with smudged eyeiner, ousled hair and a guilty – but ideally happy – expression. The famous walk of shame in all its complexity, from proud toe tapping struts, to hobbled blistered walks and matted coarse trails of hair.

Created by perfumers Smell Bent, this scent is designed to accompany you on your tired trek home. At least that’s what they say. Perfume oil is $4 for a sample, so at least you can know if it’s worth it for cheap. unlike that night!
