Welcome to Schuch Town AW12 press preview
I love going to a Schuh press preview as every time I attend they manage to make their space look insanely creative and beautiful- whether it’s a beach scene with umbrellas and an ice cream bar, or shoes floating from the ceiling umbrella style. Idon’t tend to write about events that much, preferring to concentrate on the content, rather than ‘look what I did’, but the team came up with such a creative layout I feel you’ll enjoying seeing it.
Called ‘Schuh Town AW12′ they split the various shoe styles into a high street, with sections labelled Pharmacy etc. Each section showed a different style of shoes, and considering how many brands Schuch encapsulates- Red Or Dead, Iron Fist etc, they managed to do this really creatively and cohesively (props to the design guys!).
Here are a few of my fave finds for the new season.
Adidas trainers WITH BOWS. Very Kawaii and cool, you can be comfy and stylish!
Wedge heeled Adidas trainers- again with the height and the cosy factor.
These hidden platform shoes are amazing and I love the variety in fabrics and the floral designs.

David Koma AW12 Runway Collection: Hands On

I’ve already raved to you about the amazing new shoes that David Koma is producing for AW12, and though I don’t want to overload you with fangirl exclamations, his outfits are simply too delicious not to share as well. This season he’s gone for fierce structural pieces that make a don’t F with me statement and peplums feature heavily, whether they’re tiered and ruffled, or satiny and loose at the sites. There’s a slight gothic feel to the collection – and the makeup- but I feel this is more about showing that the clothes are designed for strong powerful women, rather than Morticia Addams fans.
Up close the pieces are every bit as striking as they are in the catwalk- you can see this in the images above, and I love that they translate from the runway into items I can imagine wearing. The fabric is thick and heavy- these are weighty items, one that give you purpose and expression, not throwaway clothes. It would be hard to say they are investment pieces as they are so striking, but as seasonal statement dresses you really can’t do better as these are so luxurious and fierce (yes, I said fierce already, it works here, OK?) that you NEED to get one!
Enjoy the rest, and get a tissue to mop up all that drool.

QVC AW12 Press Preview
QVC press days normally mean Lulu Guinness to me (they have the most amazing range of her handbags available) but there was a lot more I fell in love with at their latest press preview day. Their jewellery has always been a bit of a miss with me, but this day I was wowed by their selection- from delicate bracelets to beaded chains and amazing on trend collared necklaces that I know I’m going to have to get!
I love how delicate these pieces looked, and also how they managed to be really striking at the same time.

Miss Mandalay Paris Bra REVIEW from Lingerie Please
I’m a little bit of a lingerie addict as nothing gives me greater pleasure than frilly smalls and lacy briefs beneath my staid work clothes. I think people should wear something everyday that makes them smile and lingerie is a great way to do this. Lingerie Please contacted me asking me to review a bra from their range and I immediately opted for the Miss Mandalay Paris Ultra Violet Underwired Bra as I loved the look of the bright violet and the lacy sections were really cheeky and classy simultaneously.
I’ve heard about the Miss Mandalay brand before- they’re famous in the bras for big breasts markets- but this was my first chance to try one in person. Packaging wise, my bra came in a simple envelope, but who needs bells and whistles when you have this lush creation inside? ( Warning: Pictures of real boobs alert).

Matalan AW12 Shoe Collection
Matalan isn’t always on the top of everuon’s fashion radar, but they really deserve a lot more attention. May I draw your eyes to their dazzling Autumn Winter 2012 selection of shoe styles? They’ve interpreted design that have been popular on the catwalk (and every Winter to offer a line of well priced hugely covetable footwear that will have your mouth watering- OK, mine I admit it, a true shoe crazy girl.
Their collection is really versatile; you have studded trainers, patent ankle boots and skyscraper heels. Colour palettes are black, nude, gold and red and very glam looking and they’ve even incorporated velvet into some shoes which is unusual- look at those red velvet grandpa loafers- amazing!

Rachel Gilbert AW12 Preview

Rachel Gilbert is a brand that has just got onto my radar and I couldn’t be happier. The designer hails from Australia and her collection comprises of floaty shirts, pleated skirts and stunning embellished dresses.
It’s her foreign roots that makes this Autumn Winter Collection quite astounding to Brits, as she makes no allowances for the climate with her pastel hued collection that sparkles under the light with intricate beading and adornments on every available area. I love her collection- the floaty skirts and tops are incredibly wearable and the colour palette makes them look so light and airy.
When it comes to evening dresses we’re talking serious glamour, and Rachel Gilbert has this is spades, creating dresses that flatter a woman’s shape and are very red carpet worthy.
