Styling Havaianas Sandals- Sandals and Competition

I’ve always thought of Havianas as a beach brand-they’re comfortable, great with swimwear and perfect for lounging round the pool. They’ve recently released a few pairs of Havaianas that are more suitable for days in town or nights out dancing (yes, dancing!) so I wanted to share them with you- and my styling tips!

I was pretty amazed when I first glimpsed these shoes; all the extra straps and detailing makes them a lot more grown up and mature, and the metallic finishes give these a party feel to them. OK, if you’re a die hard heels girl you won’t be drawn to the dark side, but stores are filled with enough pretty flats that I know these will appeal to some people. The rubberized sole makes these extremely comfortable to wear, and I like how they’ve changed the style from a traditional flip flop, as this means you can forgo those two week flip flop blisters that occur every year.

There are three Havaianas sandals in the new range are called Flash, Freedom and Grace .

My favourites would probably be the Havaianas Freedom design, as I love the T Bar style and I think it’s the most versatile one they have. The Grace Gladiator style sandal is also very attractive as you can use it t turn a sweet outfit into something a little fierce. They all come in a variety fo metallic shades, so you can mix and match them with your style, and they’re pretty easy to dress up and down. I probably wouldn’t want to wear these to the beach- I see these as ‘city shoes’ to be honest, as the straps would be fiddly in the beach, but are prefect for keeping my shoes on whilst running for the bus.

I like creating a preppy street chic style with them- think Peter Pan collars, hair bows and  long earrings. You can see some of my style moments in the video, where I show you how to take your Havaianas style from day to night.. and back again!
