Dermalogica Microfoliant Review
Dermalogica Microfoliant often tops the ten must have product list that beauty editors compile, and it was introduced to me by the beauty editor of SHE Magazine more years ago than I care to remember. What’s so magical about their product is that it’s consistently effective, it really works with ALL skin types and it LASTS forever. Seriously, I can get through a bottle of cleanser in two months but this will last around 8-10 months. Let me fill you in…
Dermalogica Microfoliant is a skin scrub that’s gentle enough to use every day and comes in POWDER format. Yes, that whole bottle is filled with a rice-based enzyme powder (so no issues at airports either). To use, you spill a little onto your hand, mix with water and voila- a paste appears. What’s involved in that paste is more than just rice enzymes as you also have papain, salicylic acid plus aspergillus, grapefruit and liquorice.
Together these exfoliate the skin, help balance out pigmentation and leaves you with a squeaky clean feeling of a really deep clean with no redness or irritation, even though you’re scrubbing away. It’s great at removing all makeup traces, and I like it when I need a wake me up feeling in the morning, or I’m feeling especially congested.
It’s fine to use this everyday but I tend to opt for every other day to mix things up a bit, and though I try many other products this one is ALWAYS in my bathroom cabinet- I’ve been known to stockpile them!
