GHD Peacock Purple Review

GHD are well known for creating high quality hair straighteners, and I was thrilled to be send the Limited Edition purple Peacock GHD straighteners to review. There are three colour options in the Peacock range- Amethyst, mystical emerald green and bright sapphire blue, but the purple/ Amethyst GHD set  is by far the most attractive (in my opinion) and looks stunning.

The straightener comes packaged in a pretty purple box, inside which is the hair straightener roll bag, where the straightener nestles inside. The great thing about the bag is not only is it stylish with a purple satin finish and peacock feather design, but that is also doubles as a heat map, as part of it unwraps so you can place your straighteners safely on them and not burn your counter tops.

The straightener itself is a joy to look at, with purple ceramic plates that glide easily through the hair with no tugging, and the purple theme is continued on every element, with the lights that turn on glowing violet and a purple GHD accent logo on the side. I also liked that GHD ave included a ‘styler disk cap’, which is a fancy way of saying a straightener muzzle, so you don’t have to worry about accidentally burning yourself on a heated straightener. As someone who *May* have been burned before, this is a welcome addition, and one that really endears this product to me.

The styler is a pimped up version of the Classic GHD gold styler and anyone who has used one before knows that it gives the hair an amazing sleek finish, as the plates glide through the hair without catching and leave it looking shiny and straight. Curls can also be created with this, though I’ve yet to master that (one day.. hopefully), but I do love how shiny and supple it makes my hair.. and it’s stunning to look at!
