Little Mermaid Halloween Costume: 8 Mermaid Costume choices #Halloween Beauty no 4

The Litter Mermaid is my second favourite Disney film of all time. OK, I was terrified by Ursula for years but I loved Ariel’s ’ independent spirit and headed feistiness. (if you must know Aladdin is my No1 Disney film, but I don’t feel the urge to be Jasmine.. yet).

In honour of this, I want to dress up as Princess Ariel for Halloween, and as well as some cool sea themed makeup and wig of red hair I need the perfect outfit. I realize Halloween to some extent is about looking spooky, but I’m OK with taking the ‘sexy strange’  approach it normally falls into nowadays. Not quite sorority girl at a frat show, but equally no five year old in a bedsheet.

In my quest to be the perfect Princess Ariel on a budget I’ve amassed a few costume choices- and I’m hoping you’ll help me decide which works best for me. Bear in mind I need to be able to wear a bra, and I’m a comfy size 12 when you choose!

No 1. Mardi Gras Mermaid from MG Fancy Dress

 

The green fishtail isn’t the nicest colour, but the blue wig is pretty awesome.

I like that you have a proper tail here, but think the top might be prone to slipping down.

4. Amy Childs esque Mermaid costume from Angels

Fake tan not required, but this does look very stripper-y. I also see a resemblance to TOWIE star Amy Childs- do you? Fave tail so far though.

5. High Seas mermaid from Wonderland Party

Like the full outfit coverage, less excited that the bottom looks like a Diaper.

6. Pink Mermaid from Joke

Really keen on this- the tail/skirt is cute and wearable, the corset top supports boobs and the hair flower is cute.

Another strip club inspired mermaid.

8. Glittery mermaid costume from FancyDress.com

This mermaid is sexy, but I find it also a little ethereal- or maybe that’s just the model.
